Walk for A Cause
We organised a "Walk For A Cause" at Lake Garden, Seremban which is located beside our school. This walk aims to create awareness among the students and public on the importance of orangutan conservation. Around 600 students and teachers took part in the activity. Besides that, many morning joggers also stopped by our booth to view our exhibits and purchase our products.  This walk is considered a huge success due to the overwhelming support from the school and public. A big thank you to all teachers, Georgians and members of the public for your support and contributions. You really gave hope to the orangutans. The students were led by Christine and Tivakar. They made quite an entrance because they were shouting "Go! Go! Go! Save the orangutan!" all the time. There was also a mascot at the head of the procession. All the joggers were surprised and stopped to watch the scene.  Overall, it was a success.

Exhibition in Lake Garden
After the walk, students were allowed to view the exhibits in Lake Garden. The mascot flitted around, entertaining the guests. There was also a live sketches by Ching Ching. She drew pictures of orangutan on the spot and sold them. Besides that, there were sales of items too.  We put up the donation box even though we know that most joggers do not carry money with them. We managed to collect RM 108.65 a big figure that we did not expect. We have to convince the joggers that we are not asking them for money but to create awareness about conservation of orangutans as some of them will quickly jog away. We gave out the items (brochure, bookmarks and notebooks) for free so that they can read more.

Signing of Pledges
We prepared a pledge to create awareness for the orangutan. All that the public needs to do is to sign and write their name on the form. Many people signed up and supported our campaign whole-heartedly.

Creating Awareness in Terminal 1
The team ventured to Terminal 1 to create awareness to the public. There, we got a lot of people to sign our pledge. Some even took photos with our banner. We also placed our donation box with some brochures at the Celcom booth. Celcom was having a promotion at Terminal 1. Thanks a lot, Celcom. We placed the box there for 12 hours without having a hope that anyone will chip in. We were struck speechless the next day when we went to collect it. There was RM212.10 in it. We would like to say thank you to those who have donated generously to the fund.  You have helped to make a difference for the orangutans.
